Oct. 15, 2026
Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) invites residents aged 16 to 24 who are out of school to participate in its paid work experience program this fall. The opportunity is part of the Young Adult Workers Program, which helps these individuals achieve their educational and employment goals, prepare them for the workforce, connect them to resources and more.
“We encourage young adults aged 16 to 24 who are seeking employment and are not currently enrolled in school to learn more about our Young Adult Workers Program,” said Oswego County Workforce Development Director Rachel Pierce. “Through the program, participants can gain up to 13 weeks of paid work experience this fall, helping them build essential workplace skills, strengthen their resumes and obtain valuable employment references.
“Participants also have access to a variety of supportive services designed to help them achieve long-term success, including assistance with obtaining a high school equivalency diploma or driver’s license and other resources to support their future goals,” she added.
OCWNY hosts the following information sessions for those interested in participating:
- Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. or 4 to 4:30 p.m.
